Launch of My New Book

The launch of my new book, Painting Acrylic Flowers A-Z has brought some surprises along the way, and some of them are quite a lot of fun.

For example, this website about my artwork just went live last week and yesterday I was doing a search to see if it been indexed by Google yet. In the course of discovering that it has indeed been indexed, I found something else.

I was used to seeing the pre-publication pages about my book on Amazon and elsewhere, but somehow I had never expected to see the Amazon page about it in Japanese! It has been so long since I studied Japanese for an art history class I could not read a word of it, but it was fun anyway!

I found other versions of the book also. I already knew about the Australian version published by Simon and Schuster because the publisher sent me an advance copy. It has a slightly different title, Acrylic Painter’s A-Z of Flowers, and a different version of the cover than the American edition. Actually, I think the Australian cover is the best one.

I may yet change my mind when I receive the American version, which I have not yet seen in person. I hope that shipment arrives today, but it will be soon if not today.
