Daisy Tidy Tips

Daisy Tidy Tips by Lexi Sundell

Tidy Tips shows a wildflower really named “tidy tips” from California. The flower grows well in my gardens and is shown in this painting peeking from behind a nasturtium leaf. The variegated greens dropping into the shadows gives a sense of space behind the flower.

Water drops add another dimension to the painting. I really love painting the interesting light in water drops.

This is a small acrylic painting, 20″ high, and I included it in my recent book of techniques. We recently shipped it to its new home. Happily to give as a gift or to enjoy for yourself, giclee prints of this painting are available.
