The bird stands, grounded, listening to the silence of the sky, awaiting some mute signal both unseen and unheard. Raven takes rainbows of light, weaves color into deep black feathers, waiting once again to merge into the limitless sky.
Morning Glory Dew Drops
This acrylic painting on heavy watercolor paper captures the luminous glow of a morning glory at dawn. The painting appears in my recent book, Creating Exceptional Color in Acrylics. Available to purchase.
Moments of Grace
The pinks and lavenders of this softly luminous rose are accented with a hint of orange.
Simple Joy
Simple Joy is exactly how I feel when I see these purple and white irises in my gardens. The marauding deer ignore these flowers so I thoroughly enjoy their radiant colors. Available for purchase.
Cabbage Leaves
Twin Flames
Twin Flames is painted from my all time favorite amaryllis plant. I have grown it for years and the way the petals fringe slightly in the flowers from this bulb never fails to delight me. This painting sold quickly after completion and flew away in a private jet.
Center of the Sun
Center of the Sun glows with reds and purples of a backlit poppy. This flower demands notice and yet invites you into its heart, so much so that two different women in spontaneously burst into tears when they saw it in the gallery.
Sun Angel
The butterscotch yellows and golds of sunflowers speak of the glorious days of late summer, bringing a smile to the heart.
White Gossamer
The boldness of this poppy painting lets it appeal to men while still having the delicate transparency of ever-so-thin poppy petals.
